Audit and Accounts Senior
We are looking to recruit an Audit and Accounts Senior to join our accounts team.
The role
Working for the audit and accounts manager, as part of a small team, you will be involved in accounts related work and also the training and supervision of junior staff.
The hands-on work will include accounts preparation, audit work, management accounts, VAT returns and occasionally bookkeeping, along with other accounts related tasks, often to meet tight deadlines.
Depending upon experience, you may also be responsible for reviewing work completed by team members, assisting junior staff with queries and managing the firm’s VAT clients.
Over time, the role will develop to allow you more responsibility, although you will still be willing to ‘roll up your sleeves’ on occasion.
You

You will be highly motivated and able to work well either on your own or as part of a team to complete multiple tasks, often within tight internal and external reporting deadlines. A good eye for detail and excellent presentation in your work is essential.
It is vital that you have recent practice experience, as you will be expected to hit the ground running. You will also have experience of client contact and the ability to complete accounts assignments with little or no assistance.
You will have a minimum of two year's experience in an accountancy practice working for a business services, accounts or audit department.
You will be either recently ACCA/ACA qualified, a non-studier, qualified by experience or an ACCA/ACA finalist. The nature of the role, means that we are not able to consider applicants requiring study support or leave.
Although not essential, a car and full driving licence are desirable. Free parking is available on site.

Salary will be dependent upon your previous experience and qualifications, to a maximum of £35,000 for a qualified accountant.
