Trainee Accountant
The role
Working as part of a small team, you will undertake tasks assigned by the audit manager, to include bookkeeping, preparation of VAT returns, management accounts, working on incomplete records, accounts preparation and other accounts related tasks.
After picking up the key skills, our trainees develop by gaining experience of a greater variety of business types and more complex assignments.
We aim to produce qualified accountants with a broad range of experience and the necessary skills to take on the challenges of modern life in the finance sector.
You
With good communication skills, both written and verbal, you will be highly motivated and able to work well either on your own or as part of a team. A good eye for detail and excellent presentation in your work is essential.
Good A' level (or equivalent) grades are essential, minimum 240 UCAS points, and you will have a desire to pursue a career in accountancy.
Although not essential, a car and full driving licence are desirable. Free parking is available on site.
The package
You would be given full support to study the AAT and/or ACCA qualification, including courses, materials and days off for exams.
As an ACCA Platinum Approved Employer, we are committed to providing our ACCA trainees with the experience to complement their studies. We also provide a full study package which includes BPP taught and revision courses.
Assistant Accountant
The role
Working as part of a small team, you will undertake tasks assigned by the accounts and audit manager, to include accounts preparation, audit work, management accounts and other accounts related tasks.
You will also be responsible for providing “on the job” training for junior staff when required.
You
Our clients are our greatest resource, with over 95% of new business being generated from their recommendations. As such it is crucial that the person we employ has good communication skills and will provide a friendly and professional service to clients.
You will be highly motivated and able to work well either on your own or as part of a team to complete multiple tasks, often within tight internal and external reporting deadlines. A good eye for detail and excellent presentation in your work is essential.
You will have a minimum of one years experience in practice working for a business services or accounts department with good A-levels. AAT qualification would be desirable, but not essential.
Although not essential, a car and full driving licence are desirable. Free parking is available on site.
